Research Scientist

RIKEN is now inviting applicants for the indefinite-term Research Scientist (permanent position) to work in the High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory (chief scientist: Take R. Saito). This laboratory has recently started its research activities (from April 2019), and we are leading mainly experimental projects for nuclear and hadron physics with high energy heavy ion beams at GSI/FAIR in Germany and at HIAF in China. We are also leading/conducting research projects related to the other accelerator facilities such as J-PARC. We are seeking for excellent enthusiastic talents worldwide, not only from nuclear and hadron physics at mid- or high-energies but also from low energy nuclear physics, astrophysics, atomic physics and related fields.

As of April 2020, the High Energy Nuclear Physics Laboratory consists of 11 members, i.e., two permanent researchers, three postdocs and four Ph.D. students as well as the assistant staff and the chief scientist.
