Postdoctoral Scholar in Theoretical and Computational Astrophysics

The Department of Physics at Oregon State University invites applications for a 2 year postdoctoral scholar position. The successful candidate will work with Prof. Sanjana Curtis on multi-messenger astrophysics, including core-collapse supernovae, compact object mergers, nucleosynthesis, and supernova/kilonova transients. You will have the opportunity to pursue independent ideas within these broad themes, and to develop collaborations both within Oregon State and with researchers at institutions around the world.

Candidates with prior experience in the areas of numerical simulations, high performance computing (using multi-physics codes such as the Einstein Toolkit, FLASH etc), nuclear reaction networks, and/or radiative transfer are encouraged to apply.
