The Department of Physics at Northeastern University invites applications from outstanding candidates for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in experimental particle physics to begin September 2020. Applicants with experience in experimental physics, in particular in the areas of dark matter, neutrino physics, or cosmology, will be considered. 

The department currently has strong participation in the CMS detector at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC) and is aiming to expand into dark matter experiments, neutrino experiments, or experimental cosmology.

Qualifications: The successful candidate must demonstrate an outstanding record of accomplishments in the field of experimental particle physics with a promise for further achievement in research. The successful candidate will be expected to establish an externally funded research program, to mentor and lead a team of graduate and undergraduate students, and to teach effectively at undergraduate and graduate levels. Applicants must have a doctorate degree in Physics.
