Online Workshop - FRIB First Experiments: Proposal Preparation

FRIB offers unprecedented opportunities in nuclear astrophysics to understand element synthesis and compact stellar objects. Close collaboration between nuclear scientists and astrophysicists will be essential to develop the early experiment proposals that maximize the impact on the field. JINA-CEE has identified a number of astrophysicists that are interested in contributing to proposal development and would be available to help or to collaborate with nuclear theorists and experimentalists. Feel free to contact them - this is also meant as an opportunity for young researchers who may not have established research networks. 

At the workshop, JINA-CEE is organizing

• Talks: a series of short talks (8 min) where astrophysicists introduce their interests and ideas in connection with FRIB (see information below and workshop program).

• Breakouts: all workshop participants are encouraged to join public breakout sessions with any of the speakers to discuss ideas, topics, and collaboration further.
