Postdoctoral Position in Nuclear Structure

We are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Associate who will focus on nuclear structure studies using a combination of in-beam and beta-decay spectroscopy techniques.  This position resides in the Low Energy Nuclear Physics Experimental Program in the Physics Division, Physical Sciences Directorate (PSD) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL).  

As part of our research team, you will study nucleon-nucleon interactions, the shapes of atomic nuclei, the emergence of collectivity, and shape coexistence.  You will have the opportunity to fully participate in all facets of the experiments, including design of the experiment, detector development and testing, detector setup and on-line data acquisition, data analysis, data interpretation, and publication of the results.
