Postdoctoral Researcher

the Italian Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN) has advertised a Post-Doctoral Researcher
position at the Trento Institute for Fundamental Physics and Application (TIFPA,
http://www.tifpa.infn.it/) in Trento, in close collaboration with the ECT* institute
(https://www.ectstar.eu/front-page) and Trento University (https://www.unitn.it/en).

The research topic is: “Nuclear Physics of coalescing neutron stars.”
Possible relevant sub-topics are:
- "r-process nucleosynthesis";
- "neutrino physics";
- "nuclear equation of state";
but other related sub-topics will be also positively considered.

Eligible candidates must hold (or soon be completing) a Ph.D. in Physics, Astrophysics or
Engineering. The position is expected to start in Fall 2019 (or early Winter).
The appointment is for 1+1 years, with the second year renewal after evaluation of the first-year
activity. The working location will be at the ECT * institute.
