Postdoctoral Position in Theoretical Nuclear Physics
The Theory group of IPHC is opening a two year post-doctoral CNRS fellowship in
theoretical nuclear physics. The group has strong expertise in many-body methods
(shell-model and mean-field approaches) and effective interactions for the microscopic
description of exotic nuclei, shell structure far from stability, weak processes and
nuclear astrophysics.
The selected candidate will join a project entitled "Microscopic description of exotic
nuclei: New frontiers" related to many-body calculations developments and
applications to nuclear structure studies needed nuclear astrophysics applications and
double-beta decay processes. We are looking for excellent recent graduates
candidates (PhD defense after September 2017) with solid theoretical physics
background and experience in computational many-body physics.
Applicants should register online through the official CNRS web-site: (French and
English versions are available). Two letters of references and CV shall preferably be
submitted online.
The review of applications is starting now and will continue until the position is filled.
The job can start from September 2019 to December 2019.
