Boy Scout Nuclear Badge Workshop

JINA has continued a successful initiative to help Boy Scouts earn their nuclear science badges. Graduate student and Eagle Scout, Bryce Frentz was trained as a new Merit Badge Counselor. 30 scouts toured the NSL at Notre Dame, made electroscopes and cloud chambers, listened to lectures, and performed experiments to fulfill the many requirements for the badge. So far we've guided almost 100 scouts in their Nuclear Science Merit Badges, and we already have requests for 2018 dates. Our 4th Girl Scout “Getting to Know Nuclear” badge workshop is scheduled for October this year.
