From Nuclei to the Cosmic Web strengthens interactions amongst the astrophysics and nuclear physics communities to facilitate scientific understanding of the formation and evolution of galaxies.

The NuGrid collaboration meeting 2017 will be hosted by JINA-CEE and be held at NSCL in East Lansing June 19—25.

The Nucleosynthesis Grid (NuGrid) project develops and maintains tools for large scale post-processing nucleosynthesis simulations and includes 24 senior investigators, and 33 younger scientists including students and postdocs from 21 institutions in North America, Europe and Australia.

We would like to invite you to participate in the Joint CNA (Center for Nuclear Astrophysics, Shanghai Jiao Tong University) and JINA-CEE (The Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics - Center for the Evolution of the Elements) Winter School on  Nuclear Astrophysics to be held onDecember 12-17, 2016, at the Shanghai Jiao Tong University in Shanghai, China.

A half-day event, this introduced more than 50 high school physics students in LCC’s Early College to the field of nuclear astrophysics. It included hands-on lessons regarding isotopes, nuclear reactions, and neutron capture. Graduate students gave brief explanations of their research and highlighted their own paths that led to JINA-CEE.

We will be holding a JINA-CEE/TRIUMF Satellite Workshop on Recoil Separators for Nuclear Astrophysics on Tues 11th and Wed 12th October, 2016, at the TRIUMF laboratory in Vancouver, Canada.

The Workshop is funded by JINA-CEE and TRIUMF.

The focus of the school will be the understanding and application of nuclear reaction networks to astrophysical models for systems such as novae, x-ray bursts (rp-process) and neutron star mergers (r-process). The reaction network employed will be the public NucNet code published by Prof. Bradley Meyer, of Clemson University.

A week long program at one of two world leading nuclear physics laboratories: Nuclear Science Laboratory located on the campus of the University of Notre Dame and the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory located on the campus of Michigan State University.
