Art 2 Science Camp Session 1 (Opens in a new window)

This camp seeks to ignite stellar imaginations through an integrated STEAM approach to learning. Participants learn about math, science, and engineering through a variety of art styles. 150 campers are divided into groups by age and rotate through 24 hands-on activities, Activities are designed by collaborations with local artists, science teachers, and more! Math, Science, Technology, and Leadership (MSTL) at MSU (Opens in a new window)

Outreach

Run by MSU's Gifted and Talented Education, this residential/commuter camp offers intensive courses to high-achieving 7th and 8th grade students (one week) and 9th and 10th grade students (two weeks). Programs for both age groups offer a JINA-CEE Nuclear Astrophysics course, taught by JINA-CEE faculty and staff from NSCL and University of Notre Dame. JINA-CEE funds scholarships for interested students who demonstrate financial need.

NS3 is a summer school for undergraduate students that aims to introduce the participants to the field of nuclear science. NS3 will be hosted by Michigan State University (MSU) and will offer lectures and hands-on activities covering selected nuclear science topics. The school activities will take place at the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory (NSCL) and will include lectures by local and visiting researchers, nuclear physics labs, a tour of the facility, discussions with graduate students and faculty, and more.
