Radionuclide Astronomy in the 2020s and Beyond (RA2020) Workshop (Opens in a new window)
The purpose of the Radionuclide Astronomy in the 2020's and Beyond (RA2020) workshop is focused on determining the potential science goals in radionuclide astronomy for next-generation X-ray and gamma-ray missions. This will include identifying and prioritizing open astrophysical questions on astrophysical sources of radionuclides that can be addressed by next-generation missions.

Participants learn about math, science, and engineering through a variety of art styles. 150 campers are divided into groups by age and rotate through 24 hands-on activities, Activities are designed by collaborations with local artists, science teachers, and more!

Math, Science, Technology, and Leadership (MSTL) at MSU (Opens in a new window)
Run by MSU's Gifted and Talented Education, this residential/commuter camp offers intensive courses to high-achieving 7th and 8th grade students (one week) and 9th and 10th grade students (two weeks). Programs for both age groups offer a JINA-CEE Nuclear Astrophysics course, taught by JINA-CEE faculty and staff from NSCL and University of Notre Dame. JINA-CEE funds scholarships for interested students who demonstrate financial need.

This short course was for young students (grades 3-6) in GATE’s Gifted University for Parents and Precocious Students (GUPPY). It included a hands-on lesson on stellar nuclear reactions and a tour of the National Superconducting Cyclotron Laboratory.
