PAN-CAKE masterclass for educators
PAN-CAKE is a free masterclass about nuclear science and astrophysics concepts for the classroom. It can be arranged in-person or online for science teachers (from pre-service to veterans) in the US.
Participants will:
- learn about world-class scientific research at MSU’s Facility for Rare Isotope Beams
- meet scientists who can introduce them to future research
- take a “virtual tour” of a leading rare isotope laboratory
- collect tools, demonstrations, experience, and confidence to incorporate nuclear astrophysics in their curriculum
We invite school districts and other organizations to request a PAN-CAKE workshop for teachers and colleagues who may be interested! Contact visits@frib.msu.edu
If you know high school students who might be interested in nuclear astrophysics, have them consider the PAN program.
