Art 2 Science Summer Camp

For students ages 8-12

This camp is an extension of JINA's Art 2 Science after-school programs which seek to ignite stellar imaginations through an integrated STEAM approach to learning. Participants learn about math, science, and engineering through creative hands-on projects including art projects. Activities are designed by collaborations with local artists, science teachers, and more! For examples, see the sample schedule and highlight videos below.

Student Applications are now closed for the 2017 Camp. We had a record number of applicants this year and are unable to add any more students to the waitlist. Applications for 2018 will be available in December and advertised on our facebook page.You can also email us to be added to the mailing list for next year.
If your child was accepted into the camp through an award or prize, please email for futher instructions.

Junior (teen) Counselor Application - Due May 31
Junior Counselors must be at least 15 years of age and have completed the 9th grade by summer 2016. Exceptions may be made for students 13-14 who have previously attended the camp as a student.

Adult Counselor Application - Due May 31

Registration Information This is not a registration. If your child(ren) are accepted, you will be notified about registration, which includes any payment, waivers and authorizations for the University of Notre Dame and the Joint Institute for Nuclear Astrophysics. If you have not heard from us by April 1st, please check your spam folder. It may help to add to your safe senders list.

Fee Information The camp fees are based on a sliding scale according to your household school lunch fees. Payment is due at the time of registration. If you homeschool, or don't know your lunch fee, please see the information here:

If your family pays full lunch prices, the camp fee will be $150 per child.
If your family pays a reduced fee for lunches, the camp fee will be $50 per child.
If your family receives free lunches, the camp will be free for your children.

Educators: If you are an artist or scientist interested in leading an activity, please contact with a short statement about your experience and the type of activities you are interested in leading. We have many to choose from, or can incorporate new ideas.
