Rare Isotope Accelerator (RIA) passes milestone, moves forward . The Department of Energy approved CD-0 status for RIA. RIA will offer tremendous opportunities for advances in nuclear astrophysics research in the coming decades. It will bring the majority of nuclides participating in cosmic processes within reach of study.


An informal workshop on "Nuclear Physics and Astrophysics of Accreting Neutron Stars" was held on April 23-24, 2004 at Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics, Santa Barbara, California, USA. More information.
